Jeeze. Spam. Well. Let me just comment. I still play poker. In between negotiating my survival with Mrs. Father Luke, I read and even play tourneys occasionally.

I have been reading Elements of Poker by Tommy Angelo. Way beyond my scope, perhaps, but it's what I've been reading.

I'm still playing penny ante - well. . . dollar games. When I feel I can win on this level consistently I will advance to the next higher level. Then I'll move up from there accordingly.

But mostly? Surviving. Day to day, I'm just surviving.

Only bad players talk about bad beats. All players have the same exact luck. Play enough hands and the winners win and the losers lose. A fact of life.

All types talk about bad beats. It's part of the game a/ that you get bad beats and b/ that everyone whines about them. Playing STTs courts them, because the nitty style means relatively rarely getting money in bad. Of course I don't blog the mundane hands where I get it in and my hand holds up.
